Bike VA Tour De Love held in South Hill

Participants of the Bike VA - Tour de Love held on Wednesday June 28th

brought love into the ride with the wedding of 2 cyclists at the

Valentines Post Office in Brunswick County.  See photos a bottom of the wedding!

The South Hill Chamber of Commerce had an information

booth at Bike VA registration and directed hundred of cyclists to events in town.

 

 

      

Ephesus Baptist Church

 

Mecklenburg Count Schools Superintendent Dr. Frank Polakiewicz and

his wife Cutting  participated in Bike Va.

 

 

The governor. Tim Kaine  graciously posed with members of the South Hill Rotary club

who had a food booth set up at the concert Saturday night.

And the crowd gets on its feet for dancing to Mr. Potato Head  during Bike VA.

 

 

Mr. Potato Head performed for a huge crowd of a thousand people

Saturday night in South Hill during the Bike Virginia's festivities.

 

 

   

   

     

South Hill Ruritan Club members assisted Ephesus Baptist Church

with the watermelon and fruit at the Bike VA rest stop.

at the Mr. Potato Head Concert Saturday night in South Hill. 

 

 

Governor Tim Kaine was one of the  cyclists in Bike VA over the weekend

and made an appearance at the Mr. Potato Head Concert  in South Hill.

The first married couple in the history of the South Hill Ruritan Club recently

joined the local civic organization.

 

 

The South Hill Rotary Club presented Steve and SandyJakubowski,

a framed, autographed Mr. Potato Head Poster and bicycle

horn to announce their newly married status as a souvenir of their

time in South Hill. The band performed for the cyclists on Saturday night at

Market Square.   Tommy Zincone with the Rotary Club made the presentation.
